New Beginning
Life in the faster lane
can still be peaceful.
Like standing still in a storm
whilst simply enjoying the view.
Rainbows and golden days may lie ahead
and heady heights of understanding.
Yet all is well that ends well
and God will have His way.
Knowing
Happiness is being content
with the present moment.
Knowing how to let go of what once was
and embrace the life to come.
Happiness can be mistaken
for a limbo state of stagnation.
But it is simply a state of mind,
and how it is perceived.
For now is the time to enjoy fresh air to breathe,
uplifting sunrises to glorious sunsets.
Wonderous dawn chorus of angelic sounds
heralding the perfect majesty of God.
Wisdom
To abtain
wisdom,
pondering on things without losing courage.
Hoping for situations to be resolved,
resting in faith and fortitude
knowing God has already solved them.
Remaining silent instead of retaliating,
for what good is confrontation
if the goal is lost in doing so.
Another bright day, this brand new dawn,
i rely on God for sustainance and resolutions.
Not seeking my own limitations
but the divine, fulfilling, will of God.
Fear Not
God's sayings:
"Perfect love castes out all fear,
fear not, for I have conquered the world."
Then in the 23rd Psalm it says:
"Though i walk in the shadow of death
i will fear no evil, for Thou art with me."
God brings peace to a troubled and anxious mind
He soothes a fevered brow.
Never, ever, breaking His promises
that he will take us from glory to glory,
on rainbows of everlasting joy!
Seeing is Believing
People seeing Jesus in dreams
and don't know what to make of it.
They may have followed many religions or none
yet these visions are very compelling.
Jesus called me to Himself through dreams and visions,
no person bullied me into submission.
This earth and all its inhabitants need love and peace
not war and depression.
How i pray for others to know His beauty,
God's Lamb of life and His creation's salvation.
Family
It really isn't about self satisfaction
or what's in it for me.
Nor is it about evolving
and living by the sea.
Fulfillment comes in helping others
and being with beloveds.
Life is so fleeting,
so precious, and at times fragile.
Family units can be fragmented
and individuality has not made life sublime.
Surely no better time
to now go back and join!
Innocence
Cannot put the children through a repeat of history
same old, same old!
Dragging them through books of useless evolutions
and teachings that simply don't inspire.
It isn't right to live
in fear or this and that.
When in actual fact life is beautiful, inspiring
and the horizon is optimistic.
If young ones are allowed to just stop, look and pray
the richness of life unfolds through their innocent eyes.
Mountain Views
God will take us from glory to glory
and He never breaks His promises.
The going may have been rough at times
and pathways obscured with deviations.
But all is well that ends well
and God's Sonshine, blesses our every action.
Views from the spiritual mountain top
are simply breathtaking!
Complete Dependency
Truly, it matters not the riches we acquire
or striving for fortunes of exceptional desire.
It matters not what status we proclaim
or our dizzy heights of fame,
if all have been acquired without God.
Seeking Him 1st is the true way to live
whether rich or poor.
Infact wealth can negate the need for grace
whilst complete dependency on God
brings humility and humbleness.
"First seek the kingdom of heaven
and all else shall follow thee!"
Rushing into Tomorrow
What of stillness and tranquility then
of listening to the Robin's song?
The
gifted dawn chorus that heralds the morning
and sunlight covers the earth again.
For silence is golden
and should be treasured.
God isn't heard in a cacophony of sound
like horns blowing in traffic jams.
Or people too busy to speak to one another
in the hurry and scurry of destinations.
Yes, prayer can be said in these situations and heard,
but to hear God, that needs stillness.
i have been far from You, omnipotent Lord
in my urgent need to fulfill tomorrow.
This is the day You have made
i must be glad and rejoice in it.
illusive Desert Rose
"Remember me Mum, in your faraway gaze
cos i am here
and cannot exist without love and care."
Perhaps these are the thoughts of today's children
as fashion dictates new shoes and preening days.
Too busy to think or rest
as financial needs dictate their pace.
No stay at home Mums, for necessity prevails.
No more growing old with grace
accepting the lines upon the face.
Or gentle smiles of contentment
without franticly waving arms about
to make a point.
But sadly, it probably won't change
as more is wanted and more is gained.
Will motherhood
go out of fashion too?
Busier days ahead then,
but still time to stop
and smell the illusive, desert rose.
This applies to me too,
for people of this good earth
will always need love and care.
Rainbows
Courage and fortitude
to move forward.
To another blessed place,
another time of God's fulfillment.
The same sunrise and sunset
but different surroundings.
Another encounter with a different day
embracing loved ones nearby,
yet with new neighbours to encourage.
A time to refresh,
Refresh!
With rainbows over churches,
God's promises are fulfilled.
Amazing Grace...
Paintbrushes on Hold
Not forgetting Paris paintings
and visionaries beside the river Seine.
Of colours unfolding on canvas
and inspirations of gain.
So many deviations,
nimble fingers in different ideas.
But paintbrushes on hold for now
until the appointed time.
Seaside
It's no secret that i love the sea
my fascination since childhood.
Crisp fresh invigorating air
that fills the lungs to overflowing.
Sounds of seagulls as they dip and flow overhead
and fishermen waiting on the shore,
hoping for peace and tranquility.
Something about the sea
that causes people to flock from cities.
Perhaps just for a day
to build sandcastles of their dreams.
Never to be underestimated,
God's ebb and flo of powerful tides.
Whoever says there is no Creator
is simply, sadly, blind.
Dimmed Vision
That fish out of water feeling
when self-motivation pulls, in wrong directions.
Cannot see the wood for the trees
and shafts of sunlight are obscured.
But whevever You go Lord Jesus
i will follow,
although somewhat reluctantly at times.
Show me the way to go home then,
illuminate your footprints please!
Experiences
Past experiences of heavy heart and sadness
of wondering where on earth is the Lord.
All these paths of uncertainty
have prepared me for His word.
To grow in compassion for another
to have empathy for their suffering.
If there was no storehouse of happenings in my life
there would be no spiritual equipment to help heal and understand.
So nothing is wasted in God's house,
every joy, every sorrow, is used to enhance His kingdom
here on planet earth.
Thankyou Lord for life
and the experiences along the way.

to praise and honor You today!
Psalm 30:11
Mothers Heart
For as long as i can remember,
and way before i gave myself to Christ in 1982
an inner life of contemplation, has taken much space.
Being part of the family and outwardly craving company,
never wanting to be alone.
Yet God always called me
to Himself in all things.
I believed in Him even as a small child
and would gaze up at the stars and wonder where heaven was.
Heaven is
paradise on earth if i allow it to be so.
Existence can be seen
as a half empty or half full vessel,
depending on the viewpoint.
What i'm trying to say,
no matter how worldly i wish to be
how much i mingle with the crowd.
Heart and home and being with my beloved family
is Gods true desire.
This craving for individualism,
that has dominated the earth for many years
must surely come to an end.
For now is the time for charity and community,
humans cannot live alone for too long.
Jesus tells us,
where 2 or more are gathered in His name
there He will be also.
This, i truly believe!
Show me God's Way
Sometimes the narrow pathway
is obscured with tangled weeds,
and heavenly light
is dimmed by the weight of stormy clouds.
But prayer and faith, hope and praise
releases God's power and mercy.
Then cracks begin to show in shadows of adversity
for Sonshine pierces all darkness.
This is our hope, our salvation,
Christ's eternal Love!
Wait with You
Reasons to pray for the harvest,
to praise God through upheavals.
Seasons of weeping but joy comes in His morning,
for flowers form again
where other petals grew.
Out of winter and dark mornings
Springtime beckons a prayerful heart.
A time of renewal and overcoming,
another chance to wait with you!
Action speaks Louder
A head in the clouds
can be no earthly good.
Sanctity and holiness, if not grounded securely
leaves those around, confused and unloved.
What matters most in God's purpose
is to find Christ's need, in all living things.
Offering love toward adversity
and understanding toward opposition.
So easy to write these words
so much harder to put them into action.
But another chance to keep trying,
"For this is the day the Lord has made
let us rejoice, and be glad in it!"
Mother's Role
Only for community
and the good of the children.
To see their happy smiling faces is worth more
that anything i could desire.
Removing the sadness from a young one's eyes
is a lifelong commission of love and tenderness.
A mother's role never dies,
for like Mary the mother of Christ,
it just lives on.
Lord's Prayer
"Our Father who art in heaven
hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us our daily bread and forgive us our sins.
For Thine is the kingdom, the power and glory
for ever and ever, amen!"
Adaptability
Another bright dawn in paradise on earth,
where all is still
and undisturbed by the cacophony of sound.
A crisp morning where the dew is frozen in time
making me think
of hearts that can turn cold.
When compassion can be replaced
by indifference and apathy.
Too cosy to go out
but staying inside, may not be an option soon.
Help me to be ready and able dearest Lord
and mend my shortcomings,
for adaptability used to be my prime aim!
Another Land
Reminded of Mary holding baby Jesus
of the statue i once had.
A time when i studied to become a Catholic
to advance my holiness and understand.
Sincerely thinking it was from God
to walk with Mary and her ways.
Comprehend the rosary, the immaculate conception,
the pope and callings to the priesthood.
But just when i was ready to make a firm committment
God in His wisdom had other plans.
To leave the traditional churches altogether
and embrace His charismatic band.
It seems to me i get within a breathing space of fulfillment
and then another signpost presents itself,
another bright, eternal plan.
Embracing Community
Giving up and letting go
of self-fulfilling dreams.
Separating from the shade
of solitude and desert droplets,
being with loved ones and waterfalls.
Humans are created to be together
we are herd creatures, after all.
So embracing the prospect
of community and smiley faces,
and dog walkers in the morn.
Eternal Love
"Love is like the deep red rose that blooms in Spring!"
But these words from a song,
speak of romance and earthly union..
That which captivates the body, heart and mind
till death do us part.
But the love that lasts forever,
embracing soul and spirit with unconditional Love
is with Christ Jesus.
For all eternity,
with no divide!
Together Soon
God keeps the desires of a true heart
well protected, in the Lamb's book of life.
He doesn't allow dreams to fade
or apathy to creep across the mind.
No matter what the obstacles
His will and purpose is paramount,
so beloveds, we will be together soon!
Mothers who Nurture
A Mother's heart is full of love and concern
her children are her treasures, after all.
She nurtures and scolds
encourages without useless flattery,
praising and helping wherever she can.
But like little birds,
children have to learn to fly and leave their nest
to become good adults.
So the process can start all over again
and with God's grounding,
they will fly high on eagles wings.
Heartbeat
Not abandoning white cliffs and sea breezes
or dolphins waiting by the shore.
But hump back whales get caught in the river Thames
and cannot find their way back, anymore.
Those mermaid faces peering expectantly
of what humans have in store.
But empathy and understanding
the Creator's language of love and mercy.
Of giving, and children's laughter,
His footprint in the sand or soil.
Soft heartshaped cushion to remind me
that either way, is only a heartbeat of joy!
To Hold
Sincerity and sensitivity,
awareness and self-control.
Endurance and long suffering
not expecting something back.
Only the will of God in heaven
has any credence for earthly quests.
Hope for the hopeless
and healing for the sick.
God's heart to our heart,
His hand to hold.
Perfect Light
Cat amongst the pidgeons
as the saying goes.
Warning of the wrong way to go
and embracing self-fulfilling roads.
Pathway to heaven
is narrow and few will find it.
So guide me O Redeemer
into Your perfect light.
Horizon
Following the footsteps of eternal Light,
the morning star of inner dawning
that clears the debris from underfoot.
A pilgrim's progess may seem stagnant at times,
then God moves mountains
and vision is cleared to a bright horizon.
Gathering Thoughts
I've walked by still waters
and caressed the grass in meadows.
Basked in the peace that passes all understanding
and listened to the Holy Spirit on the breeze of knowledge.
Understood the power of prayerful intercession
and worshipped on higher levels.
Taking with me all i've learned
all i've witnessed and endured.
All the memories of desert water years,
of parched mind and lonely heart.
Dawn refreshment
and the little blackbird song.
Dear beach friends along the way
and beautiful pebbles
like raw gems waiting to be admired.
Ebb and flo of Summer tides
and sandcastles of someone's dreams gone by.
But there is always other waters
other streams to meander by.
Different dog walkers needing a listening ear,
or an elderly person so lonely for a comforting smile.
God's kingdom is lovely wherever i go,
and Spring flowers beckon in the park of all knowing.
As long as Jesus is in my way,
i can follow!
Silence
Silence is golden,
it has its own beauty.
Moments to surrender the mind to higher thoughts
and refresh the time to ponder.
Embrace the present moment well
then wait upon the grace of God.
Replenish splintered ways of thought
and bask in Heaven's promises.
Protection
Putting on the whole armour of Christ
is our Saviour's desire.
Providing protection
from enemies and darts of adversity.
I am a peace lover
and do not enjoy confrontation.
But this can be interpreted as weakness
with an inability to stand up for what i deem right.
So grant me balance in my resolves Lord,
that Your path is walked in reverence and determination.
In Jesus name i pray!
God Moves
Not the time to bask in yesterday
like a beached whale.
But in the refreshing pearls of rain
that fall from heaven's tomorrow.
Cannot waste this time in apprehension
but safe in the knowledge,
that God hears prayers and answers.
Moving mountains to suit His divine purpose
always!
Changlings
The odd ones that attract God's mind,
help them, for the leper is always shunned.
Empathy to empathy, and compassion for the lost,
those changling personalities that cannot find home.
Send me where i'm most needed Lord
so i can learn, help and understand.
Ripe Moment
The 60 seconds of each minute
and how to appreciate them fully.
A minute has already passed
in trying to write a little something.
Inner peace and balance with creation,
having tasted this ripe fruit
not to leave it wasted.
Spiralling Where?
Building a folly of yesterdays,
when it was easier and life wasn't so stretching.
Leaning on others till they fell down emotionally,
no this isn't the way.
Ultimately,
i stand alone before God Almighty.
Having reached a mountain top
where the views of heaven are breathtaking,
what a crying shame
to glide gracefully down to the bottom.
So whatever is the future,
wherever my head rests for sleep
giving up discernment is not an option.
Spiritual springboarding
starts with this precious moment,
this priceless air i breathe!
God Among Us
Holy choices or worldly escapades?
Emersed in the way of spirituality
or following worldly trends,
simply no contest.
God guides each step
out there in the thicket.
Maybe a contemplative existence
is a thing of the past for now.
Hope always springs eternally
and everything is used for His purposes.
You are here, there and everywhere Lord,
that is all that really matters.
Paradise
You don't break Your promises Lord
nor leave us in the lurch.
You don't say I will
and then You won't.
The tapestry of life
is set out before our eyes.
Each step is catered for
and as an usher from the Chrystal Cathedral in America said:
"What a beautiful morning,
here in paradise!"
Faith moves Mountains
Giants of adversity
preying on timidity.
Yet faith moves all obstacles
and smooths the path ahead.
Not to be intimidated by emotional ties
that drain the heart strings into apathy.
There is a way, without manipulation
without deceit and lack of compassion.
The way of peace that passes all understanding,
surrendering to eternal Love
that surpasses all uncertainty and strife.
Homeward Bound
Christianity is about the needs of the whole
and charity always begins at home.
So whatever brings about the fulfillment of my beloveds
that is alright with me.
God uses all things for His glory

Gift of innocence

Where Angels Fear to Tread
Warnings from God,
like lightening striking a cathedral roof years ago.
In this case
the bishop had denied the virgin birth as a myth.
Ordinary coincidence or heavenly judgement?
A healthy fear of God is a necessity for me
and though i seem to tempt providence daily without intention,
my soul is mortified at my weaknesses.
Grant me a happy balance then, dearest Lord,
for my life can't be lived in self condemnation.
But safe in the knowledge
that Your forgiveness and understanding is eternal.
Above all, You love me!
Simplicity
Though i'm old in years and whisps of grey adorn my head,
i wouldn't want to deceive by pretending to be clever.
Yes, by the grace of God
wisdom grows if it is allowed, with age.
Learning the ability to just let go
and let Him take the reigns.
Yet Jesus asks us to come as little children
and that is quite easy for me,
for simplicity has its own beauty.
Just imagine an autumn leaf, burnished with gold
or the blessed, morning dew.
A lone blackbird singing at dawn
like an angel heralding in the Sonrise.
But above all, having these,
prayer and humbleness, humility and gentleness,
some fruits of the Holy Spirit.
They become indwelling in the heart over time
and all heaven rejoices with gladness.
i have a long way to go!
Refreshing
Beckoning lighthouse and sea breeezes,
also beautiful, gifted sunrises.
Toes on stony beaches
and children's sandcastles of dreams.
Walking beside the seashore with my dearest Rocky
speaking to friends across the way.
Waggy tails and playful interludes,
daily happiness in this blessed fresh air.
Wasting Time
i have another house to go to
and another life to live.
With breathtakiing sea views
and dolphins in the Spring.
Somewhere for scholars to mingle
and share their contemplations.
A peace centre for artists
to find their true colours.
Yet still i cling to yesteryear
and thought provoking infancy.
When God says,
"It's time to go to the next level,"
it's time!
Hands Together
i have learned over time,
never to under estimate the power of prayer.
It's a way of acknowledging that God knows best
not depending on my own ability.
Yes, sometimes a responsive action is required
to bring about an answer.
Often times though
just being still, brings prayerful fruition.
Freedom in God
God's love for me dosn't depend on good works,
being kind or helping others
yet these are expected of my Christian walk.
Nor does He require
my constant dissatifaction with my progress.
Otherwise every minute would be wasted with regret
like living under orders rather than love.
God's grace is sufficient unto each day
He didn't promise it would be easy, here on planet earth.
Yet despite knowing this,
my soul pines for His mercy
when i venture down wrong paths.
So when temptation calls from shadowy places
keep me in Your divine Light dearest Lord
that i don't stray like a lost sheep.
In Jesus name, i pray!
Beyond Comprehension
Jesus was a humble carpenter whilst on earth
yet He possessed the knowledge of God.
No worldly qualifications
could conquer His mind,
no human accomplishments could astound Him.
He came from heaven to earth
all seeing, all knowing
yet His message to us is simple, in its divine complexity.
Born in a humble manger in a stable
from a virgin girl called Mary
yet His lineage is from the house of King David.
His ways are not our ways
for God is beyond human understanding.
As for me, i thirst for You, Lord
and all Your ways,
those of God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit.
3 in 1...
Stagnate
Then i see a rainbow
and know everything will be okay.
Walking in hope is a much better way,
bringing smiles to any worried face.
Anyway, sufficient unto this day
for precious air is wasted on stagnation.
The Watch
Light and life in the living God,
just knowing Him makes sense of all creation.
His knowledge, His omnipotence, His glory
illuminates a parched mind.
He prepares the day ahead
in peace that passes all understanding.
From dawn to dusk
and throughout His holy, starlit night
there is always Bethlehem and His beloved, Saviour Child.
Hallelujah
Many pathways to destiny
but only one to glory,
for a pilgrim's progress
depends entirely on faith, hope and charity.
Listening to the still small voice of conscience,
the enriched whisperings of God's Holy Spirit, no less!
Yet as mere mortals
stumbling seems to be an occupational hazard,
but living safe in the knowledge
that all is used for God's purposes.
Hallelujah!
Highways
Keeping eyes on the heavenly prize
set before our King of kings.
Praising and prayers to the Lamb of all ages,
along with the angels who worship Him on high.
Christian majesty, something to aspire to
for God's spiritual highways
outshine anything on planet earth.
Remorseful
Sorrow and remorse sets in
when i have offended my Lord God.
Only happy when my conscience is clear
so opening my eyes once again
to His fresh look.
Spiritual cupboards, need a spring clean
for unforgiveness can harbour there.
Make me an uncluttered and clear vessel, dearest Lord
that prayers can linger here.
Omnipotence
God says:
"If my people will humble themselves and pray
I will come and heal their lands."
Humbleness, humility, grace,
tenderness, mercy and understanding.
All these are gifts from the Holy Spirit
the 3rd person of the holy trinity.
When goodness dwells within the heart
nothing fails, all gives glory to God.
So i come to You Lord in prayer,
please cleanse the thoughts of my heart
and heal my earthly ways,
thankyou!
Personally Speaking
Prayer is such a beautiful happening,
silent in the presence of grace
sipping the refreshing waters of faith, hope and charity.
Getting to know God as Friend
for He loves each and everyone equally,
there is no difference or preference.
Personally knowing God, as Saviour
what an awesome thing to know He cares this much.
Surely Goodness and Mercy
Basking in the comfort of Your graciousness
O precious Lord,
i wonder at Your eternal mercy.
Yet in my stupidity, my struggle to go free,
searches often go in vain.
You are the Alpha and Omega,
beginning and the end.
So if i wait to see Your footsteps
and follow gently behind,
waywardness and solitude
will become a past time.
New Year's Eve
Looking forward to 2008
with great expectations.
Nostalgia brings with it happy memories
of unity and happiness,
but they do belong to all my yesterday's.
And though they may help to shape tomorrow,
what matters most.
Is living this precious moment well
for God's sake, a Happy New Year!
Dependency
Help me to take heed of Your warnings Lord,
when i foolishly choose to ignore
the whisperings of Your Holy Spirit.
It's never intentional, believe me
but temptation renders the spirit weak.
But You have given me a brand new dawn
a chance to start anew.
Please be with my decisions Lord
so i can only depend on You!
Sufficient
Yearning to be near to You, dearest Jesus
when feeling so far away.
Self-fulfilling purposes
have taken Your place, centre stage.
Yet i would rather be taken from glory to glory
by Father God's amazing grace.
It simply should be enough,
sufficient unto His created day.
Growth
Balance and harmony,
simply taking time to listen to planet earth.
Being aware of changing seasons
and nature's precious worth.
Heightening inner vision
so growing in spirituality.
Praying as the normal reaction
to each adverse word.
Christmas Morn
Let me never forget
what joy is all about dear Lord...
Yesterday on Christmas morning, whilst out walking my dog
i encountered an elderly lady walking alone
and my heart melted in empathy.
We wished each other Happy Christmas,
she shared how her husband had died
and was all alone.
Yet her time would be spent with others,
celebrating this special day.
She had joy in her face
no traces of sadness, and this made me think.
That joy must dwell within the heart first,
not dependent on others to bring smiles to cheer.
For the love of Christ is meant for sharing
not to just hold dear.
Newdawn
My prayer is for peace on earth
for hearts to be filled with empathy and love.
No more war, hatred or strife
but gentleness of mind, spirit and soul.
People so need a better way
it is after all in God's promise.
So sending out a symbolic white dove
holding an olive branch of peace.
Forgiveness and joy
this Christ given dawn.
Away in a Manger
Thoughts and visions are planted in the mind
encouraging mighty warriors of prayer.
Night dreams correct daily mistakes
steering spiritual vessels ever heavenward.
So despite earthly trappings
of beautiful trees decked in glitter and glow.
i will remember that Jesus, Son of Mary
was born centuries ago,
not forgetting what His tomorrow has to hold!
It's Life
Things happen to disturb the peace from God
like faulty appliances and central heating problems.
And the worry takes hold
and dominates the mind.
Yet through all this i whisper,
"Help me dearest Lord!"
and He does, always.
i praise Your holy name!
Eternal Love
Christ's time is for loving and forgiving
and helping others.
It is about sacrificing selfish desires
that do not bring productivity to God's heavenly kingdom.
It isn't about judging other religions or lack of,
it's about seeing into the heart of humankind.
Offering an olive branch of peace
toward adversity and strife.
Ever loving, is the Lord of Hosts
and He truly loves all His creation,
so should i!

Remembering not to forget the French connection
where angelic beings dwell amongst the crowd.
And artists of great repute gather in abundance

as miracles form across the horizon.

1st Fruits
Just before the sun rises
and before the dawn chorus of birdsong,
i try to give 1st fruits of thought
to prayer and praises to God.
As the heart and mind awakes to new life
i'm prompted, with joyful whispers, to say:

Forgive Me
Caste out the shadows of unforgiveness
that lurk consistently throughout my day.
That judgemental attitude,
a folly of dismay.
Cleanse my heart and mind
with Your tender love and mercy.
Then my thoughts and journeying,
won't go astray.
Help me to be centred on Your holiness,
such precious food for my being.

Refresh
Help me to start this day with prayer
dearest Lord.
Point me in the direction
of Your divine grace.
Refresh my being
with Your living waters
and make my life brand new.

Tomorrow's Guardians
Thinking of the little ones,
those tender hearts
that will one day guard this earth.
How we nurture them now,
like tending tiny plants
to become great oak trees of tomorrow.
Jesus tells us
to come to Him as little children,
perhaps to increase our empathy.
For adults this isn't always easy
as striving for what's in tomorrow, seems to be the aim.
But in letting go, and letting God more into life
it starts to dawn on the heart and mind,
just what He means!
Still
Praying for peace on earth, is an honourable motivation
not just desiring to be busy like the bee.
Whilst being busy is a must at times
it's not always free.
But to contemplate the peace that passes all understanding
which sets the prisoners free.
Praying for passersby
and all creatures suffering in unbearable silence.
Interceeding for people who come my way
and those so far behind.
So prayer and supplication is my calling
and having grace, just to be real.
Listening to the whisper of the Holy Spirit,
"Be still and know that I am God!"
This can take a lifetime to learn,
especially for me!
Right or Left Behind
Long and windy roads to nowhere in particular,
dazzled by earthly delights of promise
that dull the eyes into apathy and nostalgia.
But the Lighthouse of eternal grace,
sent from heaven above no less
is found in the narrow way of humility.
Clearing the vision of self-fulfilling dross,
to reveal God's omnipotent will and all His glory!
For what does it profit a person
if they gain the whole world but lose their soul?
New Dawn
The majestic eucalyptus tree in next door's garden
was felled yesterday, after 20 years.
Although i have only lived here for 10 of those
it was part of my garden,
with most branches living in.
I would have felt sad in other years,
but it was it's time to go
with roots so very near to my neighbour's foundations.
As each bow was broken
it revealed more and more light
until my small garden was bathed in morning sunlight.
My view from upstairs, revealed a greater vision of Kent's seashore
and i knew tomorrow morning i would see the sunrise from here,
for the very first time.
God has illuminated my expectations
and enlarged my coast,
alleluja!
Glory
So to rest beside God's loving waters
spending quality time in prayer.
Just to sit in adoration
at those glorious feet,
that walked in Jerusalem centuries ago.
Time with the living, ever present Christ
refreshes heart, mind and soul,
leaving the body no option but to follow!
From glory to glory is His gift.
While Shepherds Watch
Once upon a time
when shepherds watched their flocks by night,
near a place called Bethlehem.
An angel appeared in their midst
and spoke the Good News.
That unto a virgin, would be born
the Saviour of all humankind.
His name shall be Jesus,
Emmanuel, Lamb of God.
Angels are still appearing today
in this year of 2007.
Helping shepherds to tend their flock
in a good and nurturing way!
Miraculous
It is always reassuring to know
that God is here, in everyday occurences.
He smoothes balm over sore wounds of adversity
and mends the broken hearted.
God brings happiness to the soul
and joy in the morning of our learning.
i praise You dearest Heart
and dare i say,
You are a miraculous work of art!
Foe
Storms of adversity looming on horizons
as lightening flashes across the sky.
Not wanting to paint this picture
for optimism is my Godly aim.
Turn away from waywardness and delusion
before it is too late.
For God hears the prayers of the repentent heart
and clears our skies of dust and mirk.
Leaving clear vision to sooth the heart
with His tender love and mercy.
Never too late to repent...thank God!
Fast Track
In fulfilling self ideals and desires
people's needs maybe forgotten.
Prayer life then, is probably diminished
no longer holding centre stage.
Moving too fast
on spiritual dual carriageways or broad highways,
leading nowhere of any consequence.
Not the will of God!
The path to salvation is narrow
and few will find it, sadly
so help me God!
Above All
For the children,
only for the children Lord.
Creating an atmosphere of love and rejoicing
so that this home reflects Your amazing grace,
Your omnipotent Love.
Delusion
What matters most
in this house of dreams,
is to love the Lord God with heart, mind and soul.
Not to fall into tinsel traps at this time of year
of idol worship of xmas trees and fairy lights.
Or delight in overeating
when half the world is starving!
Save me Lord from ME,
at this time of festivity.
For none of this
has anything to do with heaven's grace, or YOU!
So forgive my overactive, misguided enthusiasm
and in all the hustle and bustle,
please nudge my mind into prayer and a little fasting.
But i love my children though
and for them i give my all!
Joy to the World
Christmas time in western countries is very busy...
It's for for families to get together,
happy to watch the children's faces
as they open their presents.
It's a time to sing carols and praises to our new born King,
sweet baby Jesus, born of a virgin called Mary.
Morning star of Bethlehem,
Saviour of all humankind.
Yes, a time to rejoice for all the right reasons,
remembering to love our neighbours also,
if we can spare the time!
Despite All
i love You Lord
despite the pouring rain and forecast blustery day,
i love Your spontenaeoty and life's suprises.
It keeps me on my toes and free from apathy
rising my vision above my own understanding.
Fresh every morning is Your bread of life
sustaining me in Your ways of holiness.
This day and always then
keep me on the straight and narrow,
dearest Lord.
Friendship
Remembering care-free days of Summer
and happy sandcastles,
built from young and tender hands.
Doggy romps on warm sunny beaches
with welcoming tides that gently ebb and flow.
But now is Winter and beaches are not so friendly,
even the resident dolphin has stayed away.
Though this season is not my favorite
it is God created, and necessary for His equation.
So i cannot wishful think it was different
but i can praise You Lord, as always your friend.
On reflection, once upon a time,
Mary gave birth to Jesus.
His eternal flame will warm any heart
whatever the season.
Unrest
Household problems that loom their ugly heads,
those faulty products that need attention.
Can bring unnecessary worry and anticipation,
so what is the best way to deal with problems unseen?
So over to You omnipotent Lord
to guide confusion into all wisdom.
That those who know better
will not take advantage of innocence or ignorance.

Then i heard every creature
in heaven and earth.
Under the earth
and on the sea,

My Best Way
Stepping into eternity,
what is that like?
i couldn't comprehend, but in a miniscule way
perhaps it is leaving worldly cares behind
and relying totally on the living God.
Experiencing the peace that passes all understanding,
knowing the Holy Spirit is always near.
So only a whisper away in prayer
is fulfillment of my yearning.
Knowledge
For the Cross
i try to exist.
For peace on earth,
i desire.
For Jesus
born of the Virgin Mary, i adore.
Then in God almighty
I have rest assured.

Fortitude
Where are You in my dreams beloved Heart?
Nights of nonsense and useless meanderings
leaves the mind tired and apathetic.
But comes the dawn of this heavenly season,
cleansing thoughts and feelings.
Casting aside the dried up well of history trails
replacing it with streams of living water.
So now is Your time, and i praise You Lord!

Living Bible
i love the Holy Bible for its beauty
and the word of life.
I love the teachings of Jesus
especially the Beautitudes,
from Genesis to Revelation i am inspired.
But just knowing scripture,
being able to recite Psalms
doesn't make me a Christian.
Only when i received Christ as my Saviour
did His word come alive.
But only when i can truly love
unconditionally,
will my soul sigh!
Seeing
Heavenly hosts descending in the East,
people and tribes seeing Jesus in their dreams.
Bringing good news
of His peace, that passes all understanding.
Angels come in many forms
so increased sensitivity is key, to seeing.
Maybe as a dolphin, whale or our beloved pets
or even the songbird at dawn,
not just a person who knocks at the door!
Into Light
Arrows of destructive adversity
may block the right path,
discolouring the beauty of destiny and fulfillment.
Tempted into following a yesteryear role,
shrinking back into history.
Therefore,
dreams and visions must play their part
in turning darkness into truth and light.
The holy, only Light, for all nations!
Home and Away
"Well, what about me, then?"
those closest to me may ask
as they take 2nd place to all my other activities.
Sometimes, being busy like the bee
may not be conducive
to the divine will of God.
Besides,
even bees hibernate!
Help me then, to be centred Lord
and especially to be sensitive
to the needs of my precious One at home.
Praise
Although Jesus says to give our burdens to Him
for He will carry them,
we still have to participate in His kingdom.
His awesome will and purpose may seem daunting at times
and impossible to contemplate,
but all things are possible with the living God.
So living now, well,
is paramount.
Also, striving for fulfillment of His gifts and dreams
is worth all the adversity.
For this precious moment then,
this gifted new dawn
i give You praise, dearest Lord!
Anxious
Sometimes words no longer flow
and inspiration becomes dry like a desert spring.
Winter chills the imagination
and Summer beauty can become a distant memory.
Sometimes too much pen to paper
is not conducive to this moment.
Stillness and silence refresh the mind
bringing the peace that passes all understanding.
Soon refreshing water of renewal,
pours into the shadows of apathy
illuminating every thought with a smile.
i praise You, Lord!
Grace
Help me to be faithful in the little things Lord
like those habits that seem so trivial,
yet i need to let them go.
Help me not to stagnate,
at my own level of destination
but always and willingly,
climb higher in grace.
Happy Balance
Happiness and joy are found
in following the divine will of God.
This is complete nonsense to those
who follow trends and fashions,
or self-fulfillment.
Their sometimes lonely path of individuality
is often devoid of the need to nurture others.
Yet humans need company,
ultimately wanting to share and communicate.
The old saying:
"It is better to give, than receive!"
makes a lot of sense in this uncertain time in history.
It is also so nice to receive
for too much sacrificing can make the heart sad and tired.
A happy balance then Lord, to bring a smile for each day
then everything is so worthwhile.
Observation
Lord give me grace to change the things i can
and wisdom to know when i cannot.
Help me to be steadfast and true
safe in the knowledge
that You use everything for your purposes.
Nothing is wasted
in Your plans for creation on planet earth.
So when i see a rainbow i smile,
when i see a lighthouse i am comforted.
Behind the Facade
For the little ones
and how vulnerable they really are.
Bravado and grown up ways on the surface,
often desiring tomorrow's gaze.
But underneath this exterior are children
who thrive on love and tenderness.
Make me more aware, almighty God
of what is concealed.
That i may touch hidden fragility
with Christ's abundant Love.

Winter's Cold
When winter creeps into the dawn
burnished leaves shrivel,
no longer carpets of gold upon the ground.
It makes my heart and soul shudder
as i contemplate the oncoming weather.
But each season has its own beauty
its own special purpose.
God knows what He is doing
when things change.
But i pray for those who don't have enough to eat
or cannot afford to heat their homes.
i pray for those little ones
whose Mothers can't make ends meet.
Inspire us Lord to simply help one another
and share what we have,
so none will perish!
Changes
Joy of joys
in the spontaneous will of God.
He turns sorrow into happiness
and frees all from pain.
How i love to witness God's changes,
like sunshine and rainbows
after the storm.
Now not Then
Straggling behind into history trails
can mean struggling with what is ahead.
Keeping focused on the present moment, therefore
is very important for growth.
Not wanting to miss this created, gifted day
by cluttering up thoughts with regret.
Meandering beside wishing wells of yesteryear
and how it used to be.
Now is the time for praise and worship,
now is the time to put life into action
and purely, please God.
He is sufficient unto my day!
God's Will
Remembering loved Ones so far away,
especially my children.
Difficult decisions that cause separation
doesn't warm this heart
but can cause much sadness and decay.
But everything is seen by God
and all is used to glorify His Kingdom.
So faith must be paramount
in bringing all to His will and purpose.
Give me patience then
in abundance, dearest Lord!
Refreshed by the Newdawn
Cleanse the thoughts of my heart dear Lord
by the inspiration of Your Holy Spirit.
Fill my actions and inspirations, with Your delight
whilst clothing me in humility and grace.
Remove the veil of dust and grime from my eyes
that Your glory will be revealed.
Fill my old reluctant heart
with tenderness and compassion.
For You give another dawn to light this planet,
always new, Your day is never tarnished.
And while Your wonderous earth lives
Your Son will always shine!

Awareness
Having a heart for God's purposes,
yes having a heart.
Exalting the living Jesus,
revealing His mercy upon planet earth
and all that dwell upon it.
So much to be grateful for, dear Lord
so much pain elsewhere, to pray for.
So peace on this good earth
is the best start for each new dawn!
Good News
Why am i here?
By the love of God, blessings of the Holy Spirit
and the miraculous blood of Jesus.
To proclaim, He lives and reigns,
King of kings
and Lord of lords.
There can be no other reason
for this tiny existence,
than to share His Good News.
Children Come!
The child within all of us,
many times vulnerable and exposed.
Sadness that lives behind a smile
or a short happy journey
that causes painful sight.
Yet new every morning is God's Light
bringing fresh optimism and joy.
No longer left to walk alone,
but bask in His eternal home
for Jesus says, to come as little children!
Refreshing Love
Bringing the message of hope and love
that of Christ Jesus.
He lives, He reigns, He sanctifies.
His message is fresh every God given dawn,
fresh like the morning dew.
Beautiful Saviour of our souls!
Prayer
Give me a mother's heart dear Lord God...
Mother of Jesus i do not forget you
your shining example graces the centuries,
and though not a catholic i honor you.
Give me increased levels of humility Lord
and when moments of irritability turn this heart to stone,
lift my thoughts and tired mind to holy praise and worship
so following Christ is my only aim.
Yet safe in the knowledge
that You love me anyway.

Open Door
Before i became what is known, as a born again Christian
yes, i believed in God, but He was in heaven
not close in anyway.
i depended on those close to me for comfort and safety,
always feeling a sense of mild anxiety
spending much of my life worrying about this and that.
Then i met the living Jesus over 27 years ago, whilst in America for 2 years.
I was called to the Anglican church and until a few years ago
believed that was my only path to His righteousness.
God has called me out of church buildings
to live a life of contemplation and intercession.
Having a praying mind
whilst appearing to blend in with others, in my surroundings.
For the last 4 years
i have supported my "Church without Walls" Revelationtv.com
and am one of their intercessors.
Why have i shared all this,
perhaps it is to show the diversity of Christianity.
The ways of the Master do not have a denomination
but He needs an open heart to enter in!
Share a Thought
It isn't about what's in it for self
for self fulfillment is following God.
Nor is it about blindly, pursuing dreams and visions
if God left them long ago.
For me, it's about learning to embrace this precious moment
and praying at the throne of grace.
Growing in humility and mercy,
trying to love others with the heart of Christ.
So that is why i share a thought for each dawn
to lift the hurting hearts who mourn,
letting them know they are not alone!
Nurture
For the children,
our tomorrow's world.
Right nurturing now
reaps abundant mercies in their future.
Love and understanding,
of their tender journeying.
Keeping their hopes and dreams from fading
in this 21st century whirl.
Knowing
All knowledge is to no avail
without love for all God's creation.
i cannot choose some
whilst being indifferent to others.
